David Drayton et son jeune fils Billy sont bloqués dans un supermarché, entourés par une étrange brume. Alors que tous les clients, enfermés, essaient de cohabiter dans le calme, David se rend compte à travers les vitres que le brouillard semble dangereusement habité...
